Guidance Notes

The following sections form part of the terms and conditions and provide more specific guidance on certain products and services.

Insurance products and services

Seopa allows You to compare insurance policies for various types of insurance products and services.  The results of any searches Seopa conduct will be impartial and do not depend on whether Seopa provide the policy themselves.

Whilst Seopa endorse the products and service providers that appear on Seopa’s website Seopa do NOT provide advice. Before You buy any policy You must carefully read the terms of the policy, the insurer’s terms and conditions and any other relevant documentation which applies to the policy. You should always familiarise Yourself with all the details of any insurance policy that you are considering buying, for example, the restrictions, exclusions, conditions and obligations which apply to the policy. You must ensure that the policy matches Your requirements and that You agree to the terms of the policy before You place an order to purchase any insurance product or service. Neither we or Seopa accept any responsibility whatsoever in the event that any policy purchased by You does not meet Your requirements.

Seopa will use the information You input into the application form to search for suitable policies allowing You to select the most appropriate based on the features a policy may have and the premium and it will be a condition of any offer of insurance cover that the information that you have provided is completely accurate and honest and Seopa and the Insurers Seopa suggest to you will rely on your answers. Seopa may also use the information You input to provide you with further quotations from time to time (such as at anniversaries of the start date of your original quotation). The answers that you give may also affect any special or promotional deals Seopa have been able to negotiate for You. It is Your responsibility to ensure that such information and all other information You provide to the insurers (before cover begins and during the term of any policy You take out) is complete, accurate and not misleading. The information You supply may be used to carry out certain credit checks through licensed credit-referencing agencies. This is used as part of the underwriting process for some of the insurers and a record of this search will be made. If You are in any doubt as to whether any information is relevant You should disclose it. If You do not provide all such information Your selected insurer may be able to treat Your insurance policy as if it never existed.

It is the insurer’s responsibility to provide all relevant documentation to You and Seopa can accept no responsibility in the event that You do not receive the documentation requested or expected (unless Seopa are the relevant insurer).

You will be able to save your details on Seopa’s system and use these as the basis for making amended or new quotation requests in future. To assist You, Seopa will email You details of the quotes You have obtained from Seopa’s system with appropriate links to allow You to purchase an insurance policy.

Motor Insurance

Seopa’s system provides a full quote service, and in doing so Seopa and the insurers Seopa work with rely on the information you enter into Seopa’s application form to be accurate and complete as this information may form part of a binding agreement.
