IAM demands much reliable database on uninsured motorists

IAM, the institute of Advanced Motorists has announced that it supports the government proposals to fine the uninsured motorists as long as their databases remain accurate and up to date.

According to the Department of Transport Proposals, the cars need to be insured continuously, despite of the fact whether they are driven or not on roads.  When a driver’s car insurances expiration date is closer, they will get a letter from DVLA asking them to renew their insurance policy and any motorist who is failed to renew his/her insurance premium will be charged with a fine.

According to Peter Rodger, the chief examiner of IAM, this proposal will definitely aid to reduce the number of those motorists who had forgotten about the renewal of their insurance policy.
